West Coast Elite Under Armour announced today that it would be donating its entire stock of athletic gear to the Hurricane relief efforts on the Gulf Coast. The donation will go directly to Dain Irvin, Kelvin Sampson, and Jim Hicks relief efforts in the city of Houston that has been hit by severe flooding and massive devastation. West Coast Elite Under Armour joins a relief effort that has seen college programs across the country sending athletic gear to those in need.
West Coast Elite Under Armour President Ryan Silver on the relief effort, “As a program that implores our players to give back and to show gratitude, it is important as a program that we take initiative during these times where there are people suffering from unimaginable hardship. We hope that our donation will provide some relief to those that have been hit the hardest.”
West Coast Elite Under Armour Associate Director Scotty Martin on the donation,” We hope that the items that we were able to send to those in need will provide some sort of relief after all they have been through. Our hearts and prayers are with those who have been effected along with all those taking part in the relief effort.”
All those who would like to contribute to the relief effort is encouraged to donate to the Red Cross, or one of the other relief organizations to continue to provide necessary relief to those who have been effected.
